This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase an original, 35,500 mile from new Triumph Spitfire that has had one recorded owner from 1978 to early 2016 and comes with documentation to include the original bill of sale and Passport to Service book. On the 13th March 1978 Kennings Ltd of St John Street, Lichfied supplied this Brookland Green Triumph with a 12.5% discount taking the total price including number plates, delivery, four gallons of fuel at £2.95 and road fund license for a total price of £2,336.48. The Triumph comes with early history detailing services at 5000 miles and 14000 miles in 1984 at six years old but would appear to have spent more years dry garaged stored than on the road.
The history suggests the Triumph spent many years unused but we do know in 2000/2001 the car recorded 34,897 miles and was serviced and treated to new brake pads, exhaust centre section, temperature sending unit, brake master cylinder, washer pump and oil service. In 2014 was subject of £3,000 of remedial work. This included new front and back seat foams, exhaust back box, viscous fan coupling, water pump, re-conditioned cylinder head, all new water hoses and thermostat, new fan belt, radiator, rear wheel cylinders, track rod ends, petrol pipes, clutch master cylinder and new door rubbers. More recently in 2015 service work included stripping and cleaning carburettors and a check of the ignition system.
UDA 452S has a superb, highly original bodyshell. The Brooklands Green paint finish is very smart and the car presents exceptionally well with sharp wheels, chrome, excellent hood and hood cover. The engine bay is excellent with a superb bulkhead and chassis on show. On lifting the carpets bright Green floors are in place and are in excellent order and the interior presents superbly with excellent carpets, wood dash and Beige trim. On the road UDA 452S is impressive holding the road perfectly. The engine is strong, sounds and performs perfectly and the gearbox changes up smoothly as new. The Spitfire really does drive well and is sharp, responsive and tight. This is without doubt one the nicest Spitfire's we've had the pleasure of offering onto the market.
