JEU 203N has been driven 100 miles to us from the Lincolnshire coast. The Stag is still running in has completed around 1000 miles since a major restoration. This 1974 registered car is a genuine UK car that left the factory as a manual with overdrive transmission car.
This superb driving example has been the subject of a stalled restoration which was being carried out to a high standard. During the rebuild the body was stripped and rebuilt as necessary and then resprayed in Blue. The original V8 engine has been rebuilt and installed into the car, the gearbox was rebuilt, the hood and frame were replaced and the correct alloy wheels were refurbished and fitted with new tyres. All of the brightwork has been rechromed and re-fitted to the car and the smart largely original interior has been re-fitted and still looks very good.
The Stag presents very well with a lovely paint finish and the body is sharp with superb arches and door bottoms. The engine bay is exceptionally clean and the interior is very well presented. On the road the car is truly first class. The steering is precise and benefits from a new power steering rack, the brakes are superb and the suspension is in A1 condition. The V8 engine is outstanding with impressive performance and a lovely V8 burble. The four speed gearbox is excellent up and down the gears and the overdrive comes in and out smoothly. The car feels outstanding on the road and gives ample confidence that's it's ideal for long distance touring. JEU 203N feels tight on the road and we can't highlight enough how good this car drives. This lovely car has covered very few miles since major work and will prove a great buy.
