NWH 389M is an original UK car, first registered on the 21st September 1973. The TR has the desirable overdrive option and whilst is a 1973 CR chassis number car, it does have a CP 150BHP engine that is in excellent order. This very well presented, strong driving TR6 has come to us from Dumfries in Scotland where it has spent the past couple of years. Prior to most recent ownership, the car was in Dublin for eight years and the 1990’s were spent in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
The Triumph TR6 was subject to a full strip down and re-paint in 2014 and therefore has a lovely deep paint finish. Panel gaps are very good, the doors, lower wings and valances are all in excellent order and there are no corrosion concerns. The chassis is excellent and its clear this is a structurally excellent car. The engine bay is beautifully presented with a gleaming finish. The interior is smart and has had new leather seats installed, carpets are excellent, as are door cards and hood.
NWH 389M is a great driving car and we are pleased to report the fuel injection engine runs smoothly and offers impressive performance. The engine holds excellent oil pressure, runs at correct temperature and feel strong, quick and responsive. The four speed gearbox is lovely to use with excellent syncromesh and the overdrive comes in and out smoothly. The most recent owner has spent several thousand pounds ensuring the car is absolutely ‘right' and new parts include injectors, shock absorbers, front suspension bushes, ball joints, front wheel bearings, water pump, aluminium petrol tank and refurbished brake calipers.
