1935 Vauxhall DX 14/6 Saloon

This smart, six cylinder Vauxhall DX has been driven down to us from Teeside. The Vauxhall is a fabulous car to drive and has proved to be an extremely reliable pre-war classic. The mileage is recorded at little over 71,000 and from MOT certificates dating back to 1992, we can see the Vauxhall has covered over 17,000 miles in the last eighteen years.

Driving this pre-war Vauxhall is an enjoyable experience as the car feels properly 'fettled' and set up. The engine is very strong with good performance and the gearbox is a delight to use. Handling and braking are great and give you confidence to really use this car. This desirable six cylinder DX is capable of longer distance use and makes it a great opportunity as very few come onto the market.

The upholstery is remarkably original giving the feel of a real time warp. Whilst the trim has aged, it is presentable and needs to be looked after. Paintwork is good in most areas; there are imperfections as it appears the car has had very little if any paintwork in recent years. There is a nice shine but there is some paint flaking on the rear edge of the roof. We would be happy to have this rectified as some may prefer to use this vehicle for shows and rallies. Under the bonnet is very clean and tidy, the chrome work bright.
