happy motoring here in sunny Spain

Sorry it's been so long getting back to you but it's been hectic since we left your garage nearly 3 weeks ago - most of it involving our new Pagoda.

When we left you on Friday evening (see photo), we motored towards the south-west as we were due to catch the Sunday Plymouth - Santander ferry service. We pulled in to a hotel near Tewkesbury on Friday evening and carried on to Exeter for Saturday Lunch with an old friend and then on to Salcombe stay with another friend who also lives in Marbella. ( see photo)

Sunday was a mere half hour journey to the ferry terminal where we boarded the ferry in the company of a 1934 Talbot 90 and a Triumph Stag - instant classic car club on the ferry!

On arrival at Santander we motored on towards Marbella and just south of Madrid the odometer turned 100,000 miles and zeroed itself (see photos).

An overnight stop just north of Granada saw our arrival in Marbella on Tuesday lunchtime.

During the whole journey the car behaved impeccably. The look that we got from other road users are indescribable - suffice to say loads of cheering and thumbs up.

Wednesday gave me a chance to unpack and clean the car and do the normal mechanical checks after the journey and before the next adventure.

On Friday we set off on a 3 day tour of Cordoba with the Classic Car Club of Andalucia where we where met with great enthusiasm from the other club members who where just as excited about the new car. Three days of intensive touring, eating and drinking followed and again the car behaved like a dream.

This weekend we are joining the monthly day run with the club and the in May we are booked in for the 2 day Gibraltar Classic Car Run.

So you see that the car is not going to stand around idly gathering dust.

So it's on with happy motoring here in sunny Spain and I do hope that you can join us soon to undergo this experience.
